The Power Team

I really liked this reading. I think what the Power Team does is really inspirational. They take a different approach of how to bring God and Christ into peoples lives. In one of their areas of trying to reach out is teenagers. The appearance of the Power Team is also another approach of how to reach out to people. The men in the Power Team are very muscular that shows that they can be powerful while acting as a manifestaion of the Spirit of God and Christ. I think what Jacobs does for the people is very emotional because when he speaks he wants to be a father to those who are fatherless. Jacob also speaks of how real fathers should build his family the way God would want to see a family. The Power Team want to get people out of their seats and get close to the edge and give themseleves to Christ. The was that this is written is very sophisticated and in the writing shows how important this topic really is and what it can do for people. Jacobs takes this very seriously because in the one performance where Jacobs pointed out a group that were laughing and told them that they should take this seriously. To him their devotion to Christ is no laughing matter and should be respected. The Power Team reminds me of when I use to go to this big Christian performance of Christian bands and speakers that wanted to speak out to the teenages by putting on performances that would make them get out of their seats and become one with Christ.
